Notice And Takedown Policy
This Digital Millennium Copyright Act policy (“Policy”) applies to the ecommerce.com.bd website (“Website” or “Service”) and any of its related products and services (collectively, “Services”) and outlines how you (“you” or “your”) can submit a copyright infringement complaint that are addressed by the website operator (“Operator,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
We value intellectual property protection above everything else, and we expect our consumers and their authorized representatives to do the same. It is our policy to respond quickly to unambiguous notices of suspected copyright infringement that are in compliance with the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”) of 1998.
Terms to consider before submitting a copyright complaint
Consider if the use may be considered as fair use before filing a copyright complaint with us. Brief portions of copyrighted content may be used extensively for reasons such as critique, investigative journalism, education, and research, even without a permission from or compensation to the copyright owner, under certain circumstances. If you’ve considered fair use and still want to file a copyright claim, you should first contact the suspect to see if you can address the issue with them directly.
If you are unsure if the item you are reporting is infringing, you should consult with a lawyer before submitting a notification with us.
We may disclose a summary of your notification or refute with other parties at our discretion or if required by law. This could involve sharing the data with the account owner who is allegedly engaging in the infringing behavior or publishing it. If you’re worried about your information being passed on, you might choose to hire an agent to report infringing content on your behalf.
Notifications of infringement
If you are a copyright owner or representative and think that any information available on our Services infringes on your copyrights, you may file a written copyright violation notification (“Notification”) with the DMCA using the contact information below. All of these Notifications must adhere to the DMCA’s guidelines. You must eliminate mistakes and verify that your Notification is in compliance.
You’re initiating a pre-determined judicial procedure when you file a DMCA complaint. Your complaint will be evaluated for accuracy, legitimacy, and completeness. If your complaint meets these criteria, we may respond by removing or limiting access to misdemeanor material, as well as permanently terminating the accounts of persistent infringers.
We shall make a good faith effort to provide the affected user with information about the removal or restriction of access, which may include a full copy of your Notification, if we erase or limit access to the information or terminate an account in response to a Notification of alleged infringement (including your name, address, phone, and email address).
Regardless of anything else in this Policy, the Operator intends to take no action in response to a DMCA copyright infringement notification if it does not comply with all of the DMCA’s requirements for such notifications.
The procedure outlined in this Policy does not deter us from pursuing any other remedies available to us in the event of alleged violation.
Changes and amendments
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to change this Policy or its terms relating to the Website and Services of the business. Once we’ve done that, we’ll update the updated date at the bottom of this page. At our discretion, we may also notify you in other ways, including through the contact details provided.
Unless otherwise noted, a new edition of this Policy will become effective soon after it is posted. Your ongoing use of the Website and Services after the updated Policy takes effect (or such other action as may be specified at the time) constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
